Now that Gen Con Indy is over, I was thinking about the state of indie RPGs and of the RPG hobby in general. Besides the Indie RPG Awards, I was inspired by two threads: Steve Dempsey started thread on the Story Games forums about the state of indie RPGs, and on theRPGsite, "Bloody Stupid Johnson" made a thread on Gen Con Event Breakdowns.

I haven't reported much on my indie gaming group. Starting up around August last year, we did a short campaign of Full Light, Full Steam followed by a short campaign of Sorcerer. So I went to GenCon Indy the weekend before last, and I finally finished up my convention report. My trip this time was marred by a few outside factors: problems with my flight coming in, a room with very nice roommates but a bit too small, and losing my wallet on the final day.
